Digi Paintings #2: Winter Solstice

I'd always looked at epic paintings and said that i wish i could have made something like that- at least before i died. 
Hmm maybe my wish came true- let's see how this goes~

If there's something that i am proud of this painting it's the fact that i made this just after watching some tutorials on youtube after making the first painting: The Riverside(this shows how knowledge can polish your skills) 

I want to dedicate this to my dearest kaicho (please read my essay)
Dear Kaicho- there can never be a friend like you in the whole world for me- and yes this will be your birthday present!
It was Heisuke who brought us together- it not for that wallpaper i made- i probably wouldn't have met you- so even he is not alive he sure proved that he a symbol of loyalty and friendship

Thank you for encouraging me and being supportive of me all the time~

This painting took me 17 hours of sweat and blood and freaking planning!
I chose the winter theme- because i think Kaicho resemble somewhat calm and fun at the same time (i mean snow is fun)

You always wanted a drawing(something i have drawn) sooo i think it's umm closer to what you want lol

The dude who drew the dragon in Japan- using the one stroke technique(you're epic!)

How did this happen:
*So i think i started from the left side creating that sand mound type of a thingy for like freaking hours-
in the end used color dodge to give it a more refined finish.

*The roads were done and then the mist was created by using another cloud brush.

*The trees were drawn and then the snow was painted on it.

*The small island was difficult to draw and create so were it's reflections.
*The sky was painted in ash and white i think- a little bit of a dark blue somewhere

*Two gradients were used to give out the perfect color.

*The dots brushes made it easier to paint snow on the small road.
                           

This was actually created on Feb 25th or 24th- i was really lazy to upload it since i was very tired after making this one.
And i started on my next sketch. XD (sorry for teasing you kaicho! )
