Description

YES!! FINALLY! My firstever-digitally drawn thingy!
This piece is dedicated to Travis- so now my debt to him has been paid.
As he didn't know about anime and i had no choice but to create this.
I admire nature as much as he does and my favorite colour is green.

This is also dedicated as a tribute to my favorite Greek Goddess: Artemis(the hunter and the protector)

Like you know what the cooler artists do- they'd never tell about the way they make stuff- so i was thinking i outta pull a leaf of their books and shut up about it- but neah- i better take notes for future reference and for yours :p

But i doubt i'd have to make one like this again~ :hehe:

Detailed description(it looks like a coded message)
Lighting is very important in this piece- i started from the left bottom corner from the typical grass brush from black
to other darker green colours and then the light green. I don't remember using yellow- but double deckering the colours in photoshop
worked nicely. The end of the green bank i used the black colour to shadow.

Underneath the mountains there's also a hint of black to depict the shadows-should be used in the correct amount.

The river
The river was difficult to paint- from the right middle- black instrokes were used. and then the bokeh brushes were used
using light blue or white and highlighted the following patches of colour found everywhere in the river. The white strokes
were made in very less quantity as possible- white should be also used where the sun should rise or set. or in the middle of the ocean etc.

Clouds
Surprisingly the most frustrating things ever- also made using the sponge brushes three simultaneous colours were used:
Whitish blue- whitish red and whitish grey. kept a little bit of space for the sun and it's rays.

The sun/rays
Two gradients were used and overlayed one with 100% other with less than 70%
My sunburst brushes were used to make this and it's layer is under the gradient layers.

SPECIAL THANKS:
For Travis himself since he always listens to me patiently.
To kaicho for always encouraging me.
To Rinako: I miss you! T T
To my lighting brushes and grunge brushes(i love you!)
To Mia-chan- You're the best!
To Marie-chan- Hope this piece will give you hope ^^

Also if anyone's thinking that creating this can be easy, like seriously it's not true- it's really difficult.
AND IM NEVER GONNA DO THIS AGAIN- however it took me less time than making an anime wallpaper.

PS:I had painted in water colours before- this is my first realistic painting so it's definitely not that good.

"You can go from A to B through logic, but you can go anywhere from imagination"- Albert Einstein.

Made using Photoshop CS6 and NOT from Illustrator.(i also never downloaded any brushes for this-that was quite a problem)
